Dr. Namit Gupta

Advocate Dr. Namit Gupta is a postgraduate in both Medicine and Law, practising as a medico-legal consultant and advocate. He appears in Consumer Courts, Trial Courts, and the High Court, handling all matters relating to medical negligence. He is also a panel advocate for Medical Indemnity Insurance Companies.

He has over 15 years of experience having worked at senior positions at AIIMS, New Delhi as a Public Health Specialist and Clinical Investigator — conducting field epidemiology studies and drug trials at one of India's premier medical institutions.

Dr. Namit is the co-author of the book Law for Doctors and has approximately 80 publications, 40 professional presentations, and 1 chapter in a medical textbook to his credit. He is the founder and moderator of the Medico-Legal Forum Google Group, which has over 1,200 active members.

Education & Training

Dr. M.C. Gupta

Dr. M.C. Gupta is one of India's most distinguished "doctor-turned-lawyer" professionals — holding both MBBS and MD qualifications from AIIMS alongside LL.B and LL.M degrees. He was admitted to the Bar in 2001 and has been practising at the intersection of medicine and law ever since.

He served as a faculty member at AIIMS for 18 years and subsequently as Professor and Dean at the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) for a decade. He holds an MPH from the University of San Carlos, Guatemala and is a Fellow of the National Foundation of Clinical Forensic Medicine.

A prolific author, Dr. M.C. Gupta has written approximately 25 books on medicine, health, and law — making him one of the most published medico-legal experts in India. He received the National Citizen Award in 1992 in recognition of his outstanding contributions.
